Living the life...

Hey everyone! Yes, we do still exist! I know I haven't posted in a while but its hard to find time when I don't want to put my cutie down! Updates...

If you haven't already heard, our precious baby boy FINALLY came into this world by force on January 18th! Here's the scoop....

We went in to get induced at 5:45 in the morning on the 18th. (The day before week 41!) Now, I had reservations on getting induced but after the longest month ever we were all ready! I got put on the Pitocin around 7am and they said that I was already having contractions when I got there aand I didn't even know! Unfortunately by 2pm I still hadn't really progressed at all so they decided to break my water. Now, let me tell you, I was able to handle the contractions up until that point but something about the breaking of the water unleashed a contraction I definitely had not felt yet. I was having contractions about a minute or 2 apart the whole day but these hurt like hell with practcally no break inbetween! I started to think about the fact that the doc wasn't coming back to check on me for a couple hours and thought to myself why am I dealing with the crazy pain if I don't have to? 'OK, get me the EPIDURAL!!!' After that I felt great! I could do anything! Lets do this!!! Sounds good, but still not time....as the day went on I was getting more and more tired. Every time they would up the Pitocin, Mason's heart rate would drop so they would have to take it back down or even turn it off for a while. My blood pressure kept going too high too so they had me on oxygen. Aaron said he hated seeing me hooked up to all that stuff and I couldn't imagine. (I'm glad nobody took pictures! I was a plump mess with all the liquids they pumped me with!) At around 8pm I decided I needed some rest and kicked everyone out of the room (Sorry fam!) but hell it was like there was a free car giveaway or something in there! There were so many people but what did I expect? My family is huge and they all love us! At about 9 I was FINALLY at a 10 and ready to push! I'm thinking, REALLY? Now?!? Wait! Im not sure if Im ready! OK, well too bad, here we go! So we get about 10 minutes into it, and the nurse gets on the phone and says 'We need another vile to the room'. Wait, vile of what exactly? My EPIDURAL HAD RUN COMPLETELY OUT!! Nooooooooooooooo! Fears coming true! Get something here stat! The rest I wont go unto details but lets just says I got drugs but could still feel everything..... I delivered little Mason after about 2 hours of pushing! Man was that a workout but Aaron and I did way better than I ever expected! Aaron was absolutely amazing and it was sooooo worth it! Mason Aaron Rubner was born at at 11pm! He weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 21 1/2 inches long! He was a very big boy and we are all sooo happy!!

The past 3 weeks have really just flown by! I cant believe it has been this long! Mason has been THE BEST baby ever! The first week we had him home had its set of challenges that's for sure. From the fact that my poor baby wasn't getting a THING from the breastfeeding to the one night that he was up ALL night screaming bloody murder. (Thank goodness Mom was there that night!)Since I switched him to bottle feeding it has been a dream. We put him to bed at 8:30 every night and he sleeps pretty much through the night! He gets up anywhere from 1am to 4:30! He's great during the day and I really couldn't ask for a better baby! (I hear that babies that sleep well so soon make up for it later though...Yikes!) Him being here with us is so surreal. This is our child that we made! He's just adorable! He truly warms my heart and I don't seem to want to do anything else but hold my cute little man. Even when he is crying I just smile cus he's cute even when he's screaming!(Is that even possible or is it just a motherly thing?) Here's some pics...
Just after he's born!
About to leave the hospital!

My sweetie sleeping! Looks so grown! :)
