Living the life.... :)

Hello everyone! So, sorry I haven been on here in a while!! I actually don't have a computer right now :( I have been waiting for the iBlogger 2 app to come out for the iPhone but it is still in testing. I hope they hurry up! All of the pictures I take are on my cell phone and I haven't figured out the easiest way to get them onto a computer so it sure would be easier to blog from my phone which is how I do everything else!! Im currently having to email email picture one at a time from my cell phone them go save them on the computer one at a time...whata PAIN!!! Looking back at my last post makes me realize how much my baby boy has grown and changed! Kinda bittersweet. He passed up 5 months last week and is learning more and more each day. He's about 20lbs now and is still around the 90th percentile for his weight. Fortunately, he was born big and his parents are thin ;) so I have no worriees about his weight. He has pretty much mastered sitting up by himself and is now trying to pull up on things so he can stand up! He must feel like hes on top of the world when hes standing up cus he gets a big ole grin on his face every time! Here's some some of whats been going on the last couple months... :)

Living the life...

Hey everyone! Yes, we do still exist! I know I haven't posted in a while but its hard to find time when I don't want to put my cutie down! Updates...

If you haven't already heard, our precious baby boy FINALLY came into this world by force on January 18th! Here's the scoop....

We went in to get induced at 5:45 in the morning on the 18th. (The day before week 41!) Now, I had reservations on getting induced but after the longest month ever we were all ready! I got put on the Pitocin around 7am and they said that I was already having contractions when I got there aand I didn't even know! Unfortunately by 2pm I still hadn't really progressed at all so they decided to break my water. Now, let me tell you, I was able to handle the contractions up until that point but something about the breaking of the water unleashed a contraction I definitely had not felt yet. I was having contractions about a minute or 2 apart the whole day but these hurt like hell with practcally no break inbetween! I started to think about the fact that the doc wasn't coming back to check on me for a couple hours and thought to myself why am I dealing with the crazy pain if I don't have to? 'OK, get me the EPIDURAL!!!' After that I felt great! I could do anything! Lets do this!!! Sounds good, but still not time....as the day went on I was getting more and more tired. Every time they would up the Pitocin, Mason's heart rate would drop so they would have to take it back down or even turn it off for a while. My blood pressure kept going too high too so they had me on oxygen. Aaron said he hated seeing me hooked up to all that stuff and I couldn't imagine. (I'm glad nobody took pictures! I was a plump mess with all the liquids they pumped me with!) At around 8pm I decided I needed some rest and kicked everyone out of the room (Sorry fam!) but hell it was like there was a free car giveaway or something in there! There were so many people but what did I expect? My family is huge and they all love us! At about 9 I was FINALLY at a 10 and ready to push! I'm thinking, REALLY? Now?!? Wait! Im not sure if Im ready! OK, well too bad, here we go! So we get about 10 minutes into it, and the nurse gets on the phone and says 'We need another vile to the room'. Wait, vile of what exactly? My EPIDURAL HAD RUN COMPLETELY OUT!! Nooooooooooooooo! Fears coming true! Get something here stat! The rest I wont go unto details but lets just says I got drugs but could still feel everything..... I delivered little Mason after about 2 hours of pushing! Man was that a workout but Aaron and I did way better than I ever expected! Aaron was absolutely amazing and it was sooooo worth it! Mason Aaron Rubner was born at at 11pm! He weighed 8lbs 12oz and was 21 1/2 inches long! He was a very big boy and we are all sooo happy!!

The past 3 weeks have really just flown by! I cant believe it has been this long! Mason has been THE BEST baby ever! The first week we had him home had its set of challenges that's for sure. From the fact that my poor baby wasn't getting a THING from the breastfeeding to the one night that he was up ALL night screaming bloody murder. (Thank goodness Mom was there that night!)Since I switched him to bottle feeding it has been a dream. We put him to bed at 8:30 every night and he sleeps pretty much through the night! He gets up anywhere from 1am to 4:30! He's great during the day and I really couldn't ask for a better baby! (I hear that babies that sleep well so soon make up for it later though...Yikes!) Him being here with us is so surreal. This is our child that we made! He's just adorable! He truly warms my heart and I don't seem to want to do anything else but hold my cute little man. Even when he is crying I just smile cus he's cute even when he's screaming!(Is that even possible or is it just a motherly thing?) Here's some pics...
Just after he's born!
About to leave the hospital!

40 weeks and counting...

OK, so I was due on Tuesday and now it's Friday! Mason LOVES it on the inside apparently! Geez! I get induced on Monday the 18th if he is not here by then. I feel like I have tried everything to get him to come out on his own so I dont make it to the induction. Over the past weekend we went to the Safari Show and man did I do some walking. Way more walking than I signed up for that's for sure but I just kept thinking its going to be worth it. It was at Dallas Convention Center this year and I swear we walked a mile just to get there from where we parked! Stairs and all! Needless to say no such luck coaxing him out of there. Bags are packed, room is ready, everything is done and we are just in this waiting game! I hate waiting! Haha! But again, I just have to keep telling myself it will all be worth it in the end! I'm just really excited to meet my lil man! Oh, and did I mention my cousin (Cameron and Brian) who were due 4 days AFTER me delivered yesterday?!?!? I am so excited for them but must admit a lil jealous! Oh well, everything happens for a reason and he will be here soon! Monday in fact! Here's some pics of my big ole belly! :)

15 days left!!!!

OK, so maybe not exactly 15 days but that just sounds so awesome! Had to throw that in there. :) This Christmas break has really been relaxing for the most part. We got everything we wanted and nothing we didn't really need. It was great! I am in the process of trying to get everything done on my to-do list before Mason gets here and it looks like I am actually going to get everything done! I even started doing things that weren't on the list, but that I just wanted to do! Hopefully if my projects go well I will have to post some pics of the finished products. OH, I found this picture on the computer and thought it was just too funny! (It was from Valentine's Day last year) MAN I can't wait to have my body back! Haha! It will all be worth it in the end though. Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! New Years is right around the corner!

Updates...

I still can't believe we only have 3 weeks left until my little man is here! Doctors appointments have been going good. I still cant figure out where all this weight is. I'd like to think I still look the same as I did in these pics but...ugh....yeah prolly not. I'm up to 26lbs gained (my goal was to be at 25lbs) but have been steady at that weight for the last 2-3 weeks or so. I can definitely tell the water weight is starting to set in...I feel a bit 'thicker' than normal and even Aaron can tell my legs are a bit thicker :) Good thing this is not permanent!! Haha! He's not moving around as much as he used to but my doc said its just cus he doesn't have much room to move around in there! He's switched from one rib to the other side the other day which was kinda a relief...that whole side of my ribs was really taking a beating! Its felt bruised even to the touch! Here are some pics from the baby bump session we had about a month ago. As I type that I realize its been that long. Crazy, seems like yesterday! Just noticed none of these have my face in them so I will have to ask her if she will send me one. So this would have been at like 32 weeks...
